***Thanksgiving Celebration***

You are invited to a Thanksgiving celebration this Thanksgiving Day on Thursday, November 26th at two different times. If you are free during this time and you'd like to join us, you can make reservations in advance by purchasing the meal at 15,000 won by Sunday, November 22nd. You can either pay in cash or deposit funds directly to: 312-9192-5532-71 (Nonghyup Bank).  This will include all you can eat turkey, mashed potatoes, and other sides, a slice of pumpkin pie and a soft drink.  The Deli at the American military base will be preparing our meal.  In addition, I will prepare some sides to complement our dinner. This year the dinner will cost $115.00 that will feed about 10 people. http://www.dragonhilllodge.com/WP/?page_id=33  Click on "Holiday Meals To Go" to see details.

The dinner will include a small video on the history of Thanksgiving and learn about dining etiquette. You do not have to stay for the whole two hours, if you can even just for an hour, I would encourage you to join us.

If you'd like to join but have financial problems, please come see me in person.

Midterm Grading Criteria

Here's the midterm grading criteria.  In my previous experience, doing midterm exams in groups lessens anxiety and pressure on students so I have chosen to do them this way in hopes that you can enjoy your exams rather than stressing out about it.  Feel free to bring coffee or beverage of your choice to just be relaxed and to talk.

Please do not memorize or create dialogues, just come prepared with some key points in your head and just speak.  Hope to get to know each and everyone of you more personally.

Please wait in the hallways quietly at least 10 minutes before your scheduled time:)

Good luck on your exams!!!

****POST YOUR 1ST WRITING HERE****

***1st writing assignment***

For your first writing assignment, each student must complete one main post and four mini posts. The main post can be anything related to Unit 6 or 7, or anything you’re interested in writing about. The main post should contain your point of view on the subject and should consist of at minimum 200 words.  Once you post your main post, please continue to check on your post by commenting on what others have written on your post to keep the thread alive.
In addition to your main post, you should also complete four mini posts on other student’s main posts. Your mini posts shouldn’t just agree or disagree with what someone has written but it should either add to someone else’s comment or post a question for everyone to ponder. Your mini post should at least consist of 50 words. I just would really want you to have a thoughtful exchange of dialogue.
All of your posts should be completed by midterm exam week.  Remember to type your name in hangul so that I can give you proper credit.  Posts without names will not be given credit for the assignment. You also DO NOT need to sign into google or anything to be able to post on here.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask me!  Good luck!  I look forward to reading and learning about some of your view points.

Greetings!!!

Hello everyone!

I'm happy to be taking over for Professor William's class but under the circumstances in which I'm taking over is less than desirable. I hope to be able to continue teaching seamlessly but I'm sure there will be things that are a bit different than before.  I will explain all of that during class.  If you ever have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask me in person or make an appointment to come see me in my office.

My office is located in GILC, in room 200. I have an open door policy and you can come and chat with me about anything. I'm
